About this crane

Big Lifting Power. Small Footprint. Unlimited Possibilities.

Not every lift has room for a traditional crane. When yours doesn’t, Shaw Crane Service delivers with our UNIC URW-295 Spyder Crane — a powerful, compact lifting machine designed to work where larger cranes simply cannot fit.

With a maximum lifting capacity of approximately 6,450 pounds, a narrow 24-inch travel width, and a telescoping boom reaching over 28 feet, it combines strength, maneuverability, and precision — inside buildings, through restricted openings, in backyards, and anywhere access is tight.

Every lift is performed as an operated crane service, so you never need to supply your own crane operator.

Why choose our Spyder Crane?

Access where cranes can’t reach

At only 24 inches wide in its travel configuration, the UNIC 295 can navigate many standard doorways, narrow passages, gates, and restricted access points — bringing lifting equipment where you’d otherwise need extensive manual labor, temporary openings, or alternative installation methods.

Powerful lifting, compact package

Don’t let its size fool you. The UNIC 295 lifts up to 6,450 pounds at its specified short working radius — ideal for substantial loads on residential, commercial, and industrial projects where space is limited.

Ideal for indoor lifting

The Spyder Crane can be positioned inside suitably accessible buildings, warehouses, and commercial and industrial facilities. Especially useful for:

  • Structural steel inside existing buildings
  • Mechanical equipment installation
  • Heavy construction materials indoors
  • Lifts where overhead hoists aren’t practical

Precision placement

Hydraulic telescoping boom operation, precise controls, and radio remote control allow careful positioning of heavy or delicate materials, giving crews greater control in difficult locations.

Professional operator included

A trained operator manages setup, operation, and load movement, and our team coordinates with your contractors and site personnel to evaluate access, plan the lift, and place materials under control.

Versatile outrigger system

Four stabilizing outriggers extend outward to support the machine. Depending on configuration and approved positions, they give flexibility in restricted areas — often reducing the need for manual handling, equipment disassembly, or changes to building access.

Lifting capacity varies with working radius, boom length, outrigger setup, and other operating conditions. Indoor use is subject to ventilation requirements, floor loading, and the crane’s installed power configuration.

Why contractors choose Shaw Crane Service

A successful lift depends on more than capacity alone. Every project brings different access restrictions, load requirements, site conditions, and scheduling considerations.

Our focus is helping contractors and property owners choose the right lifting solution, then delivering dependable equipment and professional operation. With our UNIC Spyder Crane, we can take on lifts where jobsite access is the biggest challenge.

Planning a tight-space lift?

Have a challenging lift? Let Shaw Crane Service help you evaluate your options. To help us plan, please provide:

  • Project address and preferred lifting date
  • Approximate weight and dimensions of the load
  • Required lifting height and horizontal distance
  • Narrowest doorway, gate, or passage on the way to the setup area
  • Floor or ground conditions and any overhead obstructions

Big or Small, We Have the Lift for the Job.

Manufacturer specifications are approximate and must be verified against the load charts and equipment installed on the specific machine. Maximum lifting capacity and maximum reach are separate operating limits.

ft

From the center of the crane to where the load sets down. When in doubt, round up.

ft

Height where the load lands, like a roof or top floor.

lb
Room to set up

Enter the weight and distance

We’ll check this crane’s load chart and tell you whether it can make the lift.

This is a planning estimate from the manufacturer’s load charts, not a lift plan. It assumes level, firm ground and counts the hook block in the weight. Every lift is checked by our operator against the actual crane, setup, and site before we pick.
