About this crane

Quick Setup. Smart Reach. Professional Crane Service.

When your project needs a capable crane that sets up fast and fits where bigger cranes can’t, Shaw Crane Service delivers. Our Manitex 22101S 22-Ton Hydraulic Boom Truck brings dependable lifting power to residential and light commercial jobs in a truck-mounted package built for the shore.

With a 101-foot, four-section telescoping boom, a main boom tip height of about 110 feet, and three approved outrigger positions — including a narrow 7-foot-4-inch retracted setup — it’s a natural fit for trusses, beams, rooftop equipment, and building materials on tight lots and narrow streets.

Every lift is performed as an operated crane service, so you never need to supply your own crane operator.

Why choose our Manitex 22101S?

Right-sized 22-ton capacity

A maximum rated capacity of 44,000 pounds at short radius covers a wide range of everyday construction lifts — without the cost, footprint, or setup time of a larger crane class.

101 feet of reach

A four-section hydraulic boom extends from about 29 to 101 feet, with an available jib for extra height. Especially useful for:

  • Roof trusses and sheathing
  • Second-story and rooftop material placement
  • Rooftop condensers and HVAC units
  • Setting materials over a house into the back yard

Built for tight sites

Fully extended (19′ 9″), intermediate (13′ 7″), and retracted (7′ 4″) outrigger positions give us setup options on narrow lots, driveways, and streets — always within the crane’s load charts.

Professional operator included

A trained operator manages setup, operation, and load movement, and our team coordinates with your crew to plan the lift and place materials under control. The turret-mounted operator seat rotates with the crane for a clear view of the load.

Fast in, fast out

Truck-mounted for efficient road travel between jobsites, the 22101S sets up quickly — ideal for scheduled picks, multi-stop days, and jobs where crews are waiting on materials.

Built-in safety systems

A load moment indicator monitors boom length, angle, and load with audio-visual warnings and overload shutoff, and an anti-two-block system protects the hook and boom.

Lifting capacity varies with working radius, boom length, outrigger setup, and other operating conditions, and drops significantly at longer reach. Jib capacities are lower than the crane’s maximum main-boom rating.

The Right Size Crane. Professional Operators. Dependable Service.

Manufacturer specifications are approximate and must be verified against the load charts and equipment installed on the specific machine. Maximum lifting capacity and maximum reach are separate operating limits.

We’ll check this crane’s load chart and tell you whether it can make the lift.

This is a planning estimate from the manufacturer’s load charts, not a lift plan. It assumes level, firm ground and counts the hook block in the weight. Every lift is checked by our operator against the actual crane, setup, and site before we pick.
